bio
Meredi is a German-Armenian composer, pianist, and singer based between Berlin and Los Angeles.
Her name, meaning ‘melody’ in Armenian, mirrors the focus of her music: richly melodic works that draw on her classical foundation while embracing influences from contemporary genres, such as pop and electronic music.
She studied composition at the Hanns Eisler School of Music and the Berlin University of the Arts, and later earned a degree in Composition for Film and Media at the University of Music and Theatre Munich.
Her debut album Stardust (BMG/Modern Recordings, 2020) was named one of BBC Music Magazine’s Top 10 post-classical albums of the year.
In 2024, she signed exclusively with Deutsche Grammophon. Her debut record for the label, scheduled for release in 2026, blends classical orchestra with vocals, piano, and electronics.
